Sailnotice

Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-14

Sailnotice is provided by Uncode Media Ab ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Sailnotice you agree to these terms. If you use Sailnotice on behalf of a club or association, you confirm you are authorised to do so and these terms bind that organisation.

The service

Sailnotice lets a club manage a contact list and send email notices and newsletters to it. We may add, change or remove features over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Your account

Sign-in is by a one-time link sent to your email. Keep access to that mailbox secure — anyone who can read it can reach your workspace. You are responsible for activity in your workspace and for the team members you invite.

Your content — and your responsibility for it

You keep all rights to the contacts, lists, sendout content, images and files you add or upload ("Your Content"). Uncode Media Ab takes no responsibility for Your Content: you alone are responsible for what you upload and send, for having a lawful basis to email each recipient, for the accuracy and legality of the content, and for honouring unsubscribe requests. You grant us the limited right to store, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to run the service for you.

Acceptable use

Do not use Sailnotice to send unsolicited bulk email (spam), to upload other people's personal data without a lawful basis, or to send content that is unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or infringes someone's rights. Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service. We may suspend or close a workspace that breaches this section, and we will tell you why.

Data protection

For the contacts in your workspace, your club is the data controller and Uncode Media Ab is the processor, acting on your instructions. How we handle data is described in the Privacy policy and the Security page, which form part of these terms.

Plans and payment

Sailnotice has a free tier and paid plans, billed yearly in advance. New subscriptions come with a 14-day money-back guarantee: email support@uncodemedia.com within 14 days of paying and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked. After that window, you can cancel anytime from Settings — your plan keeps working until the paid year ends, and we don't refund the unused portion. We will give notice before any price change.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using Sailnotice at any time and delete your account and club yourself from Settings. If you're on a paid plan, cancel your subscription first (Settings → Manage billing) — once that's done, deletion is immediate and permanent. We may end the agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of the Acceptable use section. On termination we delete Your Content, with backups rolling off within 30 days, except records we must keep to honour unsubscribes or to meet a legal obligation.

Liability

Sailnotice is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Uncode Media Ab is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or profits, or for anything arising from Your Content or from a recipient's reaction to a sendout. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are handled by the courts of Finland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here, update the date above, and for material changes give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Sailnotice after that means you accept the change.
